Physical fitness is defined as the general fitness of a person. Physical fitness of a person takes into consideration his heart rate, the functioning of his lungs and other parts of the body at optimum or peak efficiency. This means the functioning of the body when it is working at its best or maximum potential. Physical fitness can even save a person from seemingly chronic diseases for example diabetes which can also be caused by no exercise, another example is the flu, and it is found that people who exercise regularly are less susceptible to catching the flu.
This is a great way to improving your chances in the world and reducing your diseases. Physical fitness is very important for carrying out your daily activities like walking or cooking, if you are physically fit you will be able to adjust to almost any physical or mental change in your environment. This can go a long way in the evolutionary cycle. As human beings we tend to be lazy sometimes, this laziness over a long period of time leads to a bad physical state of the body and cause various diseases that may lead to death.
A person may also be able to perform feats such as running and jumping in a much faster and better manner than normal people. A regular fitness regime will lead to a better mental state hence enhancing a person’s mental abilities. A person who is fit can also perform some tasks which will be very valuable in the society.
In the present society a person who is not physically fit is seen as a drunkard or a lazy person, this can be mentally challenging. All the leading doctors, writers and common man feel that the attaining of physical fitness during a person’s life is necessary for his survival. This is very true in all aspects. A man who is physically fit is always respected by the community and that respect is always desired by any person. So to earn that respect, medical stability and mental state of mind a person must be physically fit.
